posted 07/26/2010 Orlando. The 603 Elite Boys U15 Allstars represented NH in the second US Lacrosse National Championship held at the Disney/ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The NH team was comprised of 22 players and represented 12 communities.
Coached by Marc Auger, Darren Premo and Matt Johnson, the team found the heat, humidity and level of play to be a reality check from the moment we got off the plane in Orlando. The team did arrive with suitcases full of desire and when subjected to the great coaching they showed just how tough the Granite State can be. Who would ever guess that NH would cut their teeth on Denver Elite, Coast to Coast (Plano, TX), Green Turtles (Maryland), Swashbucklers (Tampa) and the Makos from Miami.
The players adapted to the heat, they learned from their mistakes on the field and every player improved with each game. The positive attitude kept them alive for five games and it was the Makos who saw what the 603 Elite could do as they won their final game with a solid performance on both ends of he field.
US Lacrosse has already announced the 2011 event and the NH Lacrosse Foundation has every intention of supporting a NH team in their quest for a National Title. Team tryout information will be published in the early Fall.
